Vtg Japanese Prince Hina Doll
This handsome vintage prince ohinasama doll decorated in rich navy blue and white silk is the perfect addition to any existing hina set. He has all accessories including: hat with finial, fan, and long sword (that is removable from the sheath. **is not sharp). The head is masterfully sculpted on a wooden peg, coated with gofun, and painted to perfection. The rest of the body is made of wood. This piece is from a high-quality Kyoto set.
The Hinamatsuri (Doll's Festival) in Japan is a traditional event celebrated on March 3rd every year, primarily to wish for the healthy growth and happiness of girls. Hina dolls are an essential part of Hinamatsuri and are prominently displayed in homes during the festival.
