Antique Japanese Ukiyoe Woodblock Print
This is a Japanese woodblock print Ukiyoe by Shigenobu Utagawa, also named Hiroshige II. This print is dated 1858. The English title is Sannô Festival Parade (Sannô matsuri), from the series Famous Places in Edo (Edo meisho) and it shows a famous festival in Edo, the ancient Tokyo.
Ukiyoe is a genre of Japanese art that flourished from the 17th through 19th centuries. Its artists produced woodblock prints and paintings of such subjects as female beauties, kabuki actors and sumo wrestlers, scenes from history and folk tales, travel scenes and landscapes, flora and fauna, and erotica.

- Good condition considering its age. Color bleeding. Some stains. Torn pieces on the outer right side and on the corners. Print paper very thin on the bottom left corner. Wear and tear due to age. It seems that the print was vertically cut into two halves before being adhered to a thin piece of paper. Please see the photos.
