Vintage Japanese Lacquerware Bento Box, Jubako
This is a Japanese vintage lacquered wooden lunch box (jubako). The wood used to craft this box and matching lid is heavy and solid, and the lacquer is a classic black on the outside, red on the inside. These larger jubako/bento are often used for group meals served during outings (cherry blossom viewing is a popular one), as well for osechi during the New Years holiday.

- Good condition considering age. Some light scratches and rub marks on the bento box itself. Paper box has staining and damaged corners. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
