Vintage Japanese Standing Ouchi Lantern Set for Obon Festival w/Box

This is a vintage Japanese electric Ouchi lantern set of two. Ouchi lanterns are standing lanterns with three legs that are displayed during the summer Obon festival to commemorate ancestors. The synthetic fabric lanterns are white with large images of peonies, chrysamthemums, and a distant temple. They fit snuggly on their faux wood plastic frames. They fit semi-flat in the original box. They have electric lights with a plastic blue covering that spins when the lightbulb becomes warm. There are two long white tassels that hang from the top piece. They each have a removable hanging paper tag that can be attached on the side, or stood up at the very top.

• Good condition considering its age. One plastic covering doesn't want to spin, but it may need adjustment. Some small holes on lantern near edges (but not very noticeable). Paper box has some tears and punctures. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
