This is a vintage Japanese ceramic wastewater bowl for the tea ceremony or kensui. This bowl is in the brown tone and has a textured stripe pattern from production. There is an indentation on the side.
Kensui are traditionally used during tea ceremonies to store wastewater, but can be used in many scenes of modern everyday life.
