Vtg Japanese Traditional Shamisen String Instrument
This is a Japanese traditional wooden instrument called a Shamisen. It is a plucked string instrument made from wood, animal skin and fabric. This shamisen's body and neck are in a beautiful dark brown color. The wooden neck of this vintage shamisen comes apart in two places, making it easier to transport. The body cover is in an elegant purple color.

- Approx. 21.5 cm long x 97.5 cm tall x 9 cm wide. Body approx. 20.5 cm long x 21.8 cm tall x 9 cm wide. Neck approx. 74.3 cm long.
- Good condition considering its age. Needs to be repapered and restrung. One string is missing. Koma (bridge) and batchi (plectrum) are missing. Body torn. Body cover loose. Ruptured skin on both sides. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
