Vintage Japanese Bamboo Hearth Hanger Jizaikagi

This is a Japanese vintage bamboo hearth kettle hook, Jizaikagi. Jizaikagi are used for hanging the pot or Chagama on the Irori fireplace. This piece has a carved wooden fish attached to the bamboo part with ropes. The hook is made from wood and the hook cover is made from bamboo. There is an iron hanging chain to attach the hanger hook to the ceiling.
