This is a Japanese vintage Buddhist altar candle holder stand. This metal candlestick is a black color and is in the shape of a dog. The top part with the candle spike has a floral look.
Candlestands or candlesticks are basic Buddhist tools used in most sects and are an essential item for Buddhist altars (Butsudan).
