Vtg Japanese Wooden Tansu Storage Chest

This is a vintage Japanese storage chest, also called tansu. A rich brown color with a brushed lacquer finish, this small chest has two half-sized drawers and three full-width drawers with simple black metal hardware. All corners, as well as the inside front-panel corners of each drawer have black metal embellishments for extra appeal. This particular design style is called sendai. This beautiful tansu chest can be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
