Japanese Ukiyoe Woodblock Print Art Reproduction

This Japanese art print is a reproduction of ukiyo-e woodblock print by Inoue Yasuji called 'Imperial Family at Yasukuni Shinto Shrine' (1888). It features the family of the Meiji Emperor, in uniform and Western dresses, standing in the courtyard of the shrine. There is a waterfall on the right, and Yasukuni Shrine is in the background on the left. 

Ukiyoe is a genre of Japanese art that flourished from the 17th through 19th centuries. Its artists produced woodblock prints and paintings of such subjects as female beauties, kabuki actors and sumo wrestlers, scenes from history and folk tales, travel scenes and landscapes, flora and fauna, and erotica.
