Vintage Japanese Seven Lucky Gods Hanging Art
This vintage Japanese unique piece of wall hanging art depicts the faces of the Seven Lucky Gods (shichifukujin) all molded from clay and attached to a red-painted piece of bamboo. There is a bright purple cord at the top for hanging and a tassel at the bottom of the same color. It comes in the original paper box.
The Seven Lucky Gods personify good luck and fortune. From top to bottom, the gods and their symbolisms include: Ebisu (integrity), Daikokuten (prosperity), Benzaiten (kindness), Bishamonten (dignity), Fukurokuju (popularity), Juroujin (longevity), Hotei (magnanimity).
