Vtg Japanese Paper Tengu Mask
This is a Japanese Papier-mâché mask (omen). This character is the face of a tengu, a mythical forest creature found in the Shinto belief. Known for their long noses and red faces, tengu are often depicted with wings and are said to have incredible skills with a sword. Neither really good-natured nor bad, these creatures are still considered dangerous. This oversized piece can be used for room decoration or shows and dances.
