Vintage Japanese Boxed Carved Noh Mask Obidome
This vintage Japanese obidome, a decorative item similar to a brooch placed on the front of an obijime, is made of carved sandalwood and represents a Noh mask featuring the cute face of a young woman, called ko-omote in Japanese. The item is signed on the back. It is placed on a cardboard covered with silk fabric and attached with a cord. It comes with the original wooden box, which has writings on the lid.
