Vintage Japanese Resin Lacquer Replica Serving Tray w/Box
This is a vintage Japanese lacquer replica serving tray, or obon. It is made of resin plastic and mimics the shape of a traditional winnowing basket made for drying and sifting various food product, herbs, etc. With a classic black and red color and a gold makie design of pine needles, it is used for serving wagashi sweets during tea ceremonies. It also makes a lovely decorative item.
