Vtg Japanese Hanging Scroll Kakejiku
This is a vintage Japanese hang scroll Kakejiku. Round silk paper is attached to the hanging scroll. The painting is a landscape of a mountain village in spring. Poetry is written on the top (I can't read it). Kakejiku is a Japanese picture or calligraphy mounted on a piece of paper. Kakejiku was a tool to spread Buddhism in Japan. It has been integrated with Japanese culture as interior decoration. Tokokake is used at the Tokonoma in tatami room. Chakake has Zen words used in the tea ceremony room. Buddha-kake is used in the Buddhist altar.

Good conditions. Staining, small holes in the top section, insect damage, image silk paper is peeling, silk on the back separating. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
