Vtg Japanese Hanging Scroll Kakejiku

This is a vintage Japanese hang scroll Kakejiku. Picture of reeds growing on the riverside, and kingfishers flying over them. This is probably the art of Kiyoji Ito. Kakejiku is a Japanese picture or calligraphy mounted on a piece of paper. Kakejiku was a tool to spread Buddhism in Japan. It has been integrated with Japanese culture as interior decoration. Tokokake is used at the Tokonoma in tatami room. Chakake has Zen words used in the tea ceremony room. Buddha-kake is used in the Buddhist altar.
