Japanese Tea Caddy Chaire for Tea Ceremony
This vintage Japanese high-quality matcha tea container, called chaire, is an important addition to any traditional tea ceremony set. Made of porcelain, this container has a rich purple glaze. There is a reed stopper in the top.
This particular type of match container usually contains an ivory or ceramic lid, however, reed or other types of stoppers are common.
