Vintage Japanese Ceramic Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic small bowl (kobachi). Glazed with an off white and blue decorations, it has images of flowers, bamboo, and a butterfly. It is the right size for side dishes such as small salads as well as desserts. It has a "katakuchi" spouted edge, which is a type of bowl used for mixing matcha green tea, serving sake or draining steamed vegetables. However, this katakuchi spout is only for decoration and instead is perfect for resting a thumb while holding the bowl.
