Japanese Buddhist Altar Copper Lotus Flowers
This is a vintage set of Japanese Buddhist altar fitting gold metal lotus flowers called jouka, or everlasting flower, with matching vases, called hanatate. They depict golden lotus flowers and leaves. They sit atop a hanatate, an altar flower vase in lieu of live flowers that must be replaced frequently. They are beautifully detailed and have a peg and a round metal piece at the bottom so it fits securely in the vase.
