Antique Japanese Porcelain Lidded Bento Box

This is an antique Japanese porcelain 4-tiered rounded square bento box, or jubako, with a rounded top lid. It is handpainted with red, gold, and black, and features the image of a metallic gold dragon wrapping around the box while soaring through the clouds. The bottom tier has simply shaped arches to make four legs and add visual interest.
