Japanese Porcelain Yunomi Teacup
This is a vintage Japanese porcelain teacup. It is decorated with iris flower motifs with black geometric accents. The interior features a geometric blue band near the rim and a round blue leaf design on the bottom. The cup has a rounded body with a subtly flared rim. There is a signature at the bottom.
This cup is called yunomi, made for serving and drinking sencha (standard loose-leaf tea). It is typically brought to guests in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
