Vintage Japanese Paper Uchiwa Fan
This is a Japanese vintage paper fan or Uchiwa. Uchiwa is a traditional fan tool typically made of wood or bamboo and paper in a flat paddle-like shape. This particular fan is large and decorative and features art by Ogura Yuki of pink flowers with lush leaves on a brown speckled background. It has a carved wooden handle.
