This set of two vintage wooden hishidai, or stands for diamond-shape mochi rice cakes, lacquered black with gorgeous gold makie peony flower and plant design, is the perfect addition to any existing hina set. It comes with the original wood box.
The Hinamatsuri (Doll's Festival) in Japan is a traditional event celebrated on March 3rd every year, primarily to wish for the healthy growth and happiness of girls. Hina dolls are an essential part of Hinamatsuri and are prominently displayed in homes during the festival.
