Vintage Japanese Porcelain Sake Cup
This is a vintage Japanese Kutani porcelain sake cup. This particular type of cup is called tsubomi or "bud type" due to its resemblance to a flower bud. In terms of size, it is also called ochoko. This beautiful imari sake cup is fully decorated with precise gold linework of flowers and vines on a raised-texture blue dotted background. There is a red and gold banded line near the base for one extra touch of color. The inside is solid white. It has the Kutani marking on the bottom.
