Vintage Japanese Ceramic Sake Cup
This is a vintage Japanese Kutani ceramic sake cup. This particular type of cup is called tsubomi or "bud type" due to its resemblance to a flower bud. In terms of size, it is also called ochoko. This beautiful imari sake cup is mostly a medium gray color, and features a floral design (chrysanthemum and bellflower) with two birds outlined in a precise gold outline. It has a red Kutani marking on the bottom.
