This is a Japanese sewing box, also called Haribako. Finished with a natural dark brown color with natural wood grain on display, this tansu chest has two drawers with elaborate metal hardware. The design on the handles is cherry blossoms on branches. This beautiful piece can also be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
