Japanese Tea Ceremony Set Chabako
This vintage Japanese tea ceremony set Chabako is a wooden box used for carrying a set of tea ceremony utensils. It contains a set of basic tea utensils such as a green tea bowls and tea whisk. The whole box is lacquered a dark brown with black on the inside. The front panel opens via a decorative metal handle on the front. The metal handle on the top panel makes it easy to carry around. There are three removable shelves.

- Green tea bowl: Kyo-ware. Crackle beige with floral-accented shippo design.
- Summer tea bowl: Kyo-ware. Crackle beige with cherry blossoms.
- Water jug: White, gray, and black glaze with brown lid.
- Waste water bowl: Light brown glaze with dark brown brush strokes and specks.
- Ladle/lid stand: Light brown and orange-brown rough glaze.
- Natsume: Black with gold and silver makie waves.
- Incense container: Celadon green glaze with iron glaze spots.

- Good condition considering age. Two outer ribs of wisk bent. Corner of box lid damaged. Box has some scratches and discolorations. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
