This is a vintage Japanese Shunkei-Nuri lacquerware wooden bowl, Kashiki. Kashiki is a bowl or container that holds sweets for served at Japanese tea ceremonies. Shunkei-Nuri is a traditional lacquerware craft made in Takayama City and Hida City in Gifu Prefecture.
