Vintage Japanese Resin Plastic Katakuchi Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese resin plastic mixing bowl with a spout, or katakuchi. This bowl a solid black on the inside and outside with a thick rim. This bowl has a generous size and it can be used for several purposes. Smaller katakuchi are used for serving matcha green tea and, in some cases, for serving sake. Large sizes are often used for steamed vegetables and other items that require pouring or draining.
