Vintage Japanese Porcelain Plates w/Lacquered Tray
This is a vintage Japanese pair of porcelain square plates set in a brown lacquered wooden tray. The plates are white with blue designs (bamboo leaves and plum blossoms) and have a spiral blue border. The tray connects at the center. This was likely used during tea ceremony for wagashi.
We got this item from the famous Osu Antique Market in Nagoya, Japan.
