Vintage Japanese Paper Uchiwa Fan

This is a Japanese vintage paper fan or UchiwaUchiwa is a traditional fan tool typically made of wood or bamboo and paper in a flat paddle-like shape. This particular fan has a white resin plastic frame with the front and back images adhered to either side. It features a beautiful kimono clad woman, possibly geisha, holding a purple iris (hanashoubu). This is a promotional item given at a shoes and accessories store.
