Vintage Japanese Lacquered Wooden Drink Saucers
This item is a set of vintage Japanese drink saucers, also known as chataku. These small plates are made to hold a teacup similar to that of a coaster. Painted with red and black lacquer, it features a simple makie design of two chrysanthemum blooms, one in gold, the other in silver.
