Japanese Porcelain Teacup Yunomi for Sencha
This is a vintage Japanese Kutani porcelain yunomi teacup. It has a beige crackle glaze with a beautiful red temple pagoda and mountain scene on the outside. It has a red band on the bottom near the foot and a red Kutani signature marking on the bottom.
This cup is called yunomi, made for serving and drinking sencha (standard loose-leaf tea). It is typically brought to guests in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
