This is a Japanese imperial veterans association badge. 1910 ( Meiji 43) On November 3, it was established with Imperial Prince Fushiminomiya Imperial Prince Sadanaru as president for the purpose of improving the military spirit of reserve and reserve military personnel and helping injured soldiers and bereaved military personnel.
It is said that Giichi Tanaka, who was then head of the Military Division of the Ministry of War, formed this organization with reference to the German system. Initially, it was an organization for the army only, but in 1914 ( Taisho 3), the navy was also included, and it became a common organization for the army and navy.
