Vtg Japanese Hanging Scroll Kakejiku

This is a vintage Japanese hang scroll Kakejiku. The sentence is written like this. Taking a break at a teahouse and listening to the bell "Kakikueba Kaneganarunari Horyuuji" is a haiku written by Shiki Masaoka. Kakejiku is a Japanese picture or calligraphy mounted on a piece of paper. Kakejiku was a tool to spread Buddhism in Japan. It has been integrated with Japanese culture as interior decoration. Tokokake is used at the Tokonoma in tatami room. Chakake has Zen words used in the tea ceremony room. Buddha-kake is used in the Buddhist altar.
