Antique Japanese Hanging Scroll Kakejiku
This is an antique Japanese hang scroll Kakejiku. I think this is telling about Ako Roshi from the Genroku period. Akouroshi, forty-seven warriors. Kakejiku is a Japanese picture or calligraphy mounted on a piece of paper. Kakejiku was a tool to spread Buddhism in Japan. It has been integrated with Japanese culture as interior decoration. Tokokake is used at the Tokonoma in tatami room. Chakake has Zen words used in the tea ceremony room. Buddha-kake is used in the Buddhist altar.
