Vtg Japanese Ceramic Tea Bowl w/Box

This is a Japanese vintage ceramic tea bowl, or chawan, in the Kiseto ware style. It has a pale yellow ash glaze with green accents. This shallow shape with a generously wide width is for the summer tea ceremony. It allows the tea to cool slightly before drinking from the open air. There is a sign near the base. It is sold in a paper box, perfect for storage when not in use. This bowl can be used for tea ceremonies and daily use. It is an elegant piece, suitable for any season.
