Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Offering Cup Stand
This is a pair of Japanese offering cup stands for a Buddhist altar. Also called bukki, this important altar accessory is gold and black and has an elegant plum blossom-shaped top surface. It stands on five curved gold legs. It is used often in pairs to hold small cups of rice, sake, and more as an offering to Buddha and one's ancestors.
