Vtg Japanese Spiritual Tablet, Mortuary Tablet Ihai 

This is a vintage Japanese mortuary tablet Ihai. A mortuary tablet is a place the spirit is enshrined. This type of Ihai (with a double door) is called Miyabi. This mortuary tablet (Kai de Ihai) contains 1 black wood plate and 7 white plates that can hold several deceased people in one place. The name of the deceased, his posthumous name, and the date of death is written on the board.
