Japanese Hanging Scroll Kakejiku W/ Wooden Box

This vintage Japanese hanging scroll (kakejiku or makimono) features an illustration of Boddhisatva Kannon surrounded by 33 red seals (goshuin) from the temples of the Saikoku 33 Kasho Reijo Sacred Places pilgrimage. This piece is stored in a wooden box that is also boxed. The outer box says Saikoku 33 Kasho Reijo Goinpu Kakejiku.

Tokokake is used at the Tokonoma in tatami room. Chakake has Zen words used in the tea ceremony room. Buddha-kake is used in the Buddhist altar.
