Vtg Japanese Ceramic Green Tea Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic green tea bowl, Matcha Chawan. It is in a reddish clay with a brown glaze. The mouth of the bowl shaped towards the outside and a wave design is engraved below it. The shape of the bowl is distorted on one side to form a simple handle. This bowl is signed on the bottom. This type of bowl is traditionally used for preparing and drinking green tea during tea ceremonies.
