Vintage Chinese Folding Fan Sensu
This is a traditional Chinese decorative folding fan called sensu in Japanese. The front side of this paper fan features a gorgeous image of peony flowers (botan in Japanese) and butterflies painted in color. The back side is a plain beige color. It is made with a natural bamboo frame lacquered on the lateral edges, with paper on the back and silk on the front.
