Vtg Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Honen Lacquered Wood Figurine
This is a Japanese vintage lacquered wood figurine of the monk Honen (Honen shonin), founder of Jodo Buddhism. This figurine is painted in black and white. It is sitting on a stand in a classic Buddhist black and gold style, adorned with engraved floral details. Honen is holding a juzu bracelet made of transparent beads.
