Antique Japanese Tea Ceremony Portable Brazier
This is a vintage Japanese portable cast-iron brazier (furo) for the Japanese tea ceremony. This item is used to heat water in the Sado, the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, with ash and charcoal, and a chagama(kettle) is set on it. A chagama is not included.
Furo is one of the many utensils required for the tea ceremony. It is usually placed in the center of the room.

  • Good condition considering age. Rust and some scratches. Residue of somthing in the brazier. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
