Vintage Wooden Bucket Ohitsu

This is a Japanese vintage wooden lidded bucket, Ohitsu.  Ohitsu is used for storing cooked rice, which cools down and lets it steam inside the bucket, thereby keeping its nice taste.  This is usually made of wood and is firmly held together by two thin metal plates or wires called Taga. This particular bucket has four twisted wires, two on the bucket and another two on the lid.  The lid is wider than the bucket.  There is a brand on the bottom.
