Vintage Japanese Wooden Pestle
This is a vintage Japanese wooden pestle, or surikogi. It is commonly used paired with a ceramic mortar (suribachi) and assists in grinding sesame seeds and other herbs. This particular pestle is uniquely large and an uncommon find.
