Japanese Vintage Porcelain Sake Cup
This is a vintage Japanese porcelain sake cup set with painted images of the Seven Lucky Gods. Each god is depicted on their cup in brilliant color over a beige crackle glaze.
The Seven Lucky Gods (shichifukujin) personify good luck and fortune. In no particular order, the gods and their symbolisms include: Ebisu (integrity), Daikokuten (prosperity), Benzaiten (kindness), Bishamonten (dignity), Fukurokuju (popularity), Juroujin (longevity), and Hotei (magnanimity).
