Japanese Porcelain Pottery Yunomi Teacup
This vintage Japanese porcelain teacup is mostly white with a blue inside rim and foot. On the outside are painted images of water caltrop plants (hishi), a fish, and a small crab.
This cup is called yunomi, made for serving and drinking sencha (standard loose-leaf tea). It is typically brought to guests in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
