Vtg Japanese Wooden Tansu Storage Chest
This is a vintage Japanese storage chest, also called tansu. A medium brown color with a brushed lacquer finish, this small chest has two with decorative black metal hardware. All corners as well as the inside front-panel corners of each drawer have black metal embellishments for extra appeal. This particular design style is called sendai. There is a green felt pad on the bottom to prevent scratching other surfaces. This beautiful tansu chest can be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
