This is a set of three Japanese bamboo-crafted wet towel trays (known as oshibori-oki). In Japan, providing guests with, depending on the season, a warm or cool damp small hand towel or washcloth is part of most restaurant and home culture. The cloth is used to clean hands and face before and during a meal.
